Chris Brown and Rhianna

According to many sources the night of the Grammy's Chris Brown allegedly assaulted Rhianna and according to those same sources she looked horrific, had a split lip, bite marks, and a Bloody nose. For two days now they have circulated a horrible picture of the Beautiful Rhianna showing the extent of this assault.
As horrible as this is,it only goes to show that Domestic violence can happen even with people we think have it all. Domestic abuse knows no boundaries, and/or limits. Statistics say that 3 women die everyday, victims of Domestic Violence, and 15 million witness domestic abuse in their own homes. according to these same experts if you have been exposed to domestic violence in your own home you are 4 times more likely to be abused.
Women and young girls in relationships need to remember that it all begins with verbal abuse. Shame of having picked the wrong guy sometimes keeps a woman quiet because she doesn't want anyone to think that she's made a mistake in her choice of partner. Fear also keeps a lot of women paralyzed.

Information about Shihan

Watching classic "Kung Fu" movies in the 70's and 80's planted a seed for Shihan. The greatest inspirations were the great "Bruce Lee", "Angela Mao", and "Sonny Chiba" all over the big screen doing their form of art. Shihan started her Martial Arts career when she was 16 years of age, practicing with her friends doing basement "karate". Later on Shihan decided to study at an accredited Martial Arts school named "East Tremont school of Karate and Ju Jutsu". While there she met a man who would change her life, the world renowned and respected, the late "Shihan Antonio Pereira" Founder of "Miyama Ryu Combat ju-jutsu" system.

Shihan is now an experienced teacher (over 30 years) who has taught Ju Jutsu to numerous men, women, children, and many in the N.Y.P.D., N.Y. Corrections department, and many others in Law Enforcement. Her passions for teaching the fighting arts and her fear of the streets led her to create the programs that would teach men, women and children how to stay safe in the streets, the playground, the home, and the office. Shihan Warixi programs have been featured in numerous TV shows, talk radio, and magazines like: "Eyewitness News Magazine", "New York Times", "The Big Apple Parents Paper", "Warriors Magazine", "Martial Arts Today", and many other venues.

Shihan dedicates herself to channeling her passions and energy to teaching women's groups, corporations, and children of all ages self worth, self-defense, and awareness as well as offering her talents to healing the mind, body and spirit. In her spare time she writes articles, poetry, and books. She is currently working on a series of children books that incorporate the teachings of Secure Your Child (S.Y.C.) program, as well as a street awareness hand book of tips for women of all ages.
